Satellite radar image map showing large apparent oil slick on September 2, 2005 in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Possible sources are three major platform/pipeline hubs located at 28.663428N/89.551131W (left), 28.664908N/89.408069W (middle) and 28.682556N/89.387075W (right)(NAD27). Oil slicks are dark patches; platforms are very bright spots. Seafloor pipelines shown in green.
