Whats In The Photo:

Satellite radar image map showing long, thin slick (dark streak) on September 12, 2005, in proximity to platform that was apparently leaking on Sep. 2. Numerous oceangoing tankers and/or cargo vessels (elongated bright spots aligned below and parallel to the slick) raise the possibility that this slick is from a passing ship, rather than the platform. Oil slicks are dark patches; vessels and platforms are very bright spots. Seafloor pipelines shown in green, platform locations in orange.
