Whats In The Photo:Satellite radar image map showing extensive oil slick apparently emanating from a platform on September 2, 2005, in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Oil slicks are dark patches; vessels and platforms are very bright spots. The band of bright, vertical wavy lines is a packet of internal waves, an interesting oceanographic feature. Seafloor pipelines shown in green, platform locations in orange.
