Whats In The Photo:This aerial photograph taken in September 1996 covers an area along Prairie Dog Creek in the western part of the Powder River Basin of Wyoming, about two miles south of the Tongue River. The area pictured is about 2.1 miles across (the black scale bar is 400 meters). Fields on either side of the creek form the irregular light and dark patterns along the left side. A railroad line forms the sharp curving line that crosses the middle of the scene. A few dirt roads (thin, pale lines) are visible.
